Notice to Users of Satellite A60 and Satellite Pro A60 notebook PC: BIOS Update Recommendation
In extremely rare instances, your Satellite A60 and Satellite Pro A60 notebook may experience overheating that could result in the deformation of the plastic casing on the upper right hand corner of the computer. The overheating and deformation occur only when the notebook is booting or resuming from standby or hibernation, and can be avoided by installing BIOS ver. 1.70 or a later version.
Only Satellite A60
and Satellite Pro A60 notebooks with BIOS version lower than 1.70 are affected.
Should your Satellite A60 or Satellite Pro A60 have the BIOS ver. 1.70 or higher,
your notebook is not affected. You can confirm your BIOS version, by clicking
on Control Panel - Toshiba Hardware Setup - General Tab, and you will see the
BIOS version.
